25. New Words !

Hello, Reader!

WALT: UNDERSTAND HOMONYMS AND IT’S MEANING

I’ve learnt what a homonym is and it’s meaning is simple: It means when there’s words that has different meanings but the same pronunciation which could potentially mistake a person to use it for different purposes. For example: Pear, peer, pare, and pair – may sound the same, but really they have different meanings. Someone could mistake using the work ‘pair’ even thought they’re trying to say ‘pear’. Like “I ate a pair”. It doesn’t make sense, but you can understand why they made the mistake.

I didn’t have time to make a DLO (personal reasons) but I made one for the meaning of “RECIPROCITY” which is another new word that I learnt other than homonym.

RECIPROCITY:

24. Angles DLO

Kia ora.

Hereby is the DLO I made about 6 of the main angles that I know of. I used the shapes and the line tool (+ the polyline tool) to create the angles. So the mahi I made was originally by me. 🙂

For context: So, the reason why I’ve created this DLO, was because there were three groups that Tanya wanted people (the ones in my class) to vote for which group they think they should be assigned to. Group one, was for the people who didn’t know anything about angles. Group 2, had the people who knew what angles are and what they mean. Whether there was group 3, the group that had the people who think they know about angles, but are unsure.

I’ve chosen group 3, because I know a bit about angles.

(The information under the angles reads the things that I know about angles, so they’re still quite accurate!)

Thanks for reading, bye!

24. Math DLO – Using Factors

Kia ora.

Here is my example of the math DLO half of us did. It’s really easy once you really get the hang of it. I’ve done the first two pages under 1-2 days, I’m up to the 3rd slide. The example above my text is the 3rd slide example, also known as using factors. I’m positive someone in my class posted about [Number] x [Number] x [Number] multiplying using compatible pairs, instead of using factors. it gets harder on every page. At first I was confused, but now I understand how to use factors and multiplying using compatible pairs in math!

I hope you at least learnt how to multiply using factors – from my post.

Bye.

24. Math DLO – Adding Left To Right

.

Kia Ora.

This is the method I had to use during maths — Adding Left to Right.

It’s so simple! So, basically its about adding hundreds. Here is an example below.

E.g: 230 + 340 = (30 + 40 = 70)

300 + 200 = 500

now altogether, 500 + 70 = 570 so 230 + 340 = 570, easy, right?

Hope you understood my small explanation.
